  • Lead the strategic planning and implementation of the contracting and procurement for Projects.
  • Assessing the risks and facilitate development of appropriate mitigation plans and contractual safeguards.
  • Strong ability to monitor market conditions and anticipate supply chain pressures including ability to proactively escalate to resolve urgent issues.
  • Ensure relationships with key contractors are developed and maintained to identify improvement opportunities and set the platform for improved performance
  • Collaborate with Legal to ensure contract templates are updated and that internal stakeholder's approval of contractual exceptions are duly obtained.
  • Management of the suppliers' database and ensure suppliers are qualified and approved.
  • Management of preaward contracting and procurement process, covering market intelligence, cost estimating, tendering preparation and administration, bid evaluation and negotiation and award recommendation.
  • Performs approval of Purchase/Service Orders, management of contract closeouts.
  • Ensure longlead tangible equipment items are identified and contracted sufficiently in advance to preserve schedule.

Job Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Engineering, Business, Quantity Surveying or Legal.
  • Proficient in contract law, preferably with qualification in law (either graduate, or post graduate)
  • At least 15 years of experience in supply chain in the Oil and Gas industry, and experience in supporting capital projects (onshore and offshore, greenfield, brownfield modifications).
  • At least 5 years of supervisory experience
  • Experience of complex approvals and compliance regimes
  • Experience with SAP, SMART by GEP and/or eProcurement and contracting systems.
  • Proven history of working well in a developing nation multicultural environment.
  • Demonstrated high level of ethics and integrity.
