Reporting to: Supplier Quality Manager Sole Contributor role Based in Penang the role Conduct supplier assessment and qualification, ensuring compliance with VDA6.3 Process Audit requirements and internal supplier standards.Manage supplier base for responsible commodities, including replacing weak suppliers and conducting supplier development activities.Perform supplier audits, follow up on improvement activities, and qualify new suppliers and parts.Collaborate with PUR and project teams to ensure timely release of new suppliers or parts, and adherence to customer environmental requirements.Support quality improvement initiatives by addressing performance issues with suppliers, resolving 8D reports promptly, and coaching suppliers to meet quality standards. the experience Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Acoustical, Mechanical Engineering, or any relevant major.Possess at least of 3 years in the automotive industry. Proficiency in plastic injection process or metal plating process. Proficiency in IATF16949 and Quality 5 tools - Product Quality Planning (APQP), Control Plan (CP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
