About the RoleWe are looking for a dedicated teacher of Dance to introduce and develop the subject within the secondary school curriculum. You will collaborate with the Juilliard School in New York to enhance our Performing Arts programs through the Juilliard Creative Classroom initiative. Candidates should have a Degree in Dance, a teaching qualification, minimum 3 years of Dance teaching experience at secondary level, and a creative teaching approach both in and out of the classroom.
  • Essential qualifications and experience:
    • Degree Dance
    • PGCE or Equivalent
    • 3 years of proven Dance Teaching
    • Experience developing schemes of work
    • Ability to work as part of a team
    • Experience teaching KS3 PE
  • Desirable experience:
    • Experience teaching GCSE Dance
    • Experience teaching KS3 Drama
    • Show choreography
    • Event staging
The role may also involve teaching components of the PE curriculum until the Dance program is fully implemented.
