Accounts Manager

Responsibilities:

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Accounts and Office teams as Department Head.
  • Manage full set of accounts, and identify and propose cost optimisation/reduction measures to the top management as needed.
  • Stay abreast of the latest financial regulations and implement any necessary policies and regulations to ensure compliance to statutory requirements.

Accounting Role:

  • Manage the daily operations of the overall accounting functions, which include month end closing, company taxation, AR and AP, among others.
  • Manage and monitor debtors/creditors aging, billing and collections, initiate action for delinquent accounts, review and process claims, verify documents and process payments.
  • Manage financial reporting deliverables and review annual budgeting as needed.
  • Monitor and review monthly balance sheet account reconciliation and perform P&L analysis to ensure the integrity of company accounts.
  • Liaise with auditors, bankers, tax agents, company secretary and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.

Administrative Role:

  • Organise team meetings and lead annual Accounts and Sales Meetings.
  • Lead and troubleshoot adhoc administrative issues in the Office.
  • Manage the company's insurance schemes, claims and payroll.

Job Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of working experience in management accounting

Background in Sales and/or chemical/manufacturing industries will be an added advantage
:

  • Able to converse in English, Bahasa Melayu and Chinese.
  • A team player who is able to lead and blend well into the existing team.
  • A strong selfstarter who has high integrity, analytical and good communications skills who can be relied on to make sound decisions.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint; experience in AutoCount system is an added advantage.
  • Remuneration package will commensurate with qualification and working experience.
