Summary:

Responsibilities:

  • Perform predialysis assessment including reviewing patient history, vital signs, and current medications.
  • Administer prescribed dialysis treatment according to established protocols and physician orders.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and assess their condition during dialysis sessions, promptly addressing any concerns or complications.
  • Educate patients and their families about dialysis procedures, treatment plans, and selfcare techniques.
  • Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR) system.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including physicians, technicians, and dietitians to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain a safe and clean dialysis environment, adhering to infection control protocols and regulatory standards.
  • Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of dialysis equipment as needed.
  • Participate in staff meetings, continuing education programs, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

Education, licenses, certifications, and experience required to fulfill the essential duties, including computer skills as required.

  • Registered as a general nurse with Malaysia Nursing Board
  • Willing to learn and would like to have postbasic qualification for nephrology
  • Intermediate computer skills in Word, Excel and Power Point with ability to create presentations and use the Internet effectively required.
  • Attention to detail for accurate and efficient medical records management
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Min Diploma in Nursing, Medical Assistant, Healthcare
