The RAS Swim Coach will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities;

PE Curriculum/Lessons:

Coordinates and conducts all swimming lessons and water safety programs as part of the PE Curriculum at Raffles American School.
Ensures that policies, guidelines, and safety procedures are followed.
Enforces pool regulations and water safety policies.
Assist the physical education staff in creating an environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.
Assists the Lifeguard with any first aid procedures in the event of injury, and rescues swimmers in distress or danger of drowning.
Inspects pool facilities, equipment, and water to ensure that they are safe and usable.
Plans LifeGuard's schedule for Pool duties.

Co-Curricular:

Is responsible for organizing and conducting Inter-House and Inter-School (JSAC) Swim competitions and Swim Gala Days.
Coordinates RAS teams for JSAC Sports events. Swimming, Aquathlon plus any others as required.
Coordinates and Conducts the RAS Swim Squad training and competitions.
Oversees any Aquatic CCAs that take place at the RAS Swimming Pool.
Assists the Athletic Director with other RAS CCAs and Sports Events as required.
Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior and attire.
