  • We are looking for motivated, dynamic Finance Manager to join our team. This position will be responsible in managing the finance team, implement change initiatives, reviewing general ledger transactions and ensuring timely and accurate statutory financial reporting under MFRS & IFRS.

What you will do:

  • This position will assist on daytoday accounting functions and other responsibilities.
  • Manage and groom finance team under Corporate & Marine segments. Ensure all team member has proper training material given to perform their daytoday activities.
  • Implement changes and improvement initiatives to increase the team efficiency and engagement.
  • Review financial status and performance of the company to identify potential area for improvements.
  • Oversees GL team to ensure accounting entries are recorded in compliance with MFRS and IFRS.
  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of monthly management accounts and reports.
  • Review month end closing, journal entries, monthly analysis, budget, and forecasts.
  • Review vessel impairment on quarterly basis.
  • Review internal assessment on ECL & COI on yearly basis.
  • Prepare management and board papers for approval on ad hoc transactions. (eg Dividend flow, novation, share capital injections etc)
  • Ensure tax compliance for entities involved (ie withholding tax, tax computation, deferred tax etc)
  • Responsible for annual statutory reporting including timely completion of audited financial statements for the company and dealing with audit related matters to ensure compliance with applicable accounting standard and regulatory requirement.
  • To ensure intercompany transaction costs are recorded and in compliance to transfer pricing policy.
  • Liaise with different departments within the company such as operations, procurement, treasury, tax, etc.
  • Liaise with vendors, other external consultants, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and timely completion of financial activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Statistics, Business Administration, Economics, Accountancy, or any related discipline
years' experience in finance reporting / operations including at least 4 years of audit experience in Big 4 with strong IFRS knowledge

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
  • Effective written, organization and negotiation skills
  • At least 2 years of experience in managing at team
