Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management:

  • Handle financial transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports like balance sheets and income statements.
  • Reconcile accounts promptly and resolve discrepancies accurately.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Support tax preparation and audit processes.
  • Maintain precise records of financial transactions and process invoices efficiently.
  • Utilize accounting software like MYOB to streamline financial tasks.

Administrative Support:

  • Coordinate office operations such as answering phones and scheduling appointments.
  • Manage correspondence and maintain filing systems.
  • Assist with special projects and ad hoc tasks as delegated.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Familiarity with basic accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy.
  • Strong analytical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to prioritize tasks and thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Membership or eligibility for membership in the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) preferred.
  • Knowledge of tax laws, Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), and Malaysian Goods and Services Tax (GST) regulations advantageous.
  • Understanding of Companies Act 2016 and related compliance requirements.

Experience

  • Minimum 23 years of accounting experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in accounting and administrative roles.
  • Familiarity with Malaysian regulatory bodies like the Inland Revenue Board (IRB) and Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) advantageous.
  • Adherence to MIA code of ethics and professional standards.
  • Awareness of industryspecific regulations and practices relevant to Malaysia.
  • Proven track record of staying updated with changes in Malaysian accounting standards and regulations.

Salary:
From RM2,300.00 per month
