Key Responsibilities:

Financial Record Keeping:

Maintain and update the company's financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, payroll records, general ledger entries, and other financial data, adhering to Malaysian accounting standards.


Financial Reporting:

Prepare regular financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, following the guidelines of MFRS or PERS, to ensure accurate and compliant reporting.


Tax Compliance:
Ensure compliance with Malaysian tax laws, including Goods and Services Tax (GST) and other applicable taxes. Prepare and file tax returns accurately and on time.

Budgeting and Forecasting:
Collaborate in the preparation and analysis of budgets and financial forecasts to support strategic planning and decision-making processes.

Audit Support:
Assist internal and external auditors during financial audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Financial Analysis:

Analyze financial data and performance metrics, identifying trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement within the context of Malaysia's business landscape.


Reconciliation:
Conduct regular reconciliations of bank accounts, vendor statements, and intercompany transactions to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.

Compliance and Regulations:

Stay informed about changes in Malaysian accounting standards, tax laws, and financial regulations to ensure the organization's continuous compliance.


Financial Systems:
Utilize accounting software commonly used in Malaysia to streamline processes and enhance efficiency in financial management.

Cost Control:
Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining the quality and efficiency of operations.

Internal Controls:
Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets and prevent fraud within the local business environment.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional accounting certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, MIA) is preferred.
  • Proven work experience as an Accountant in a Malaysian context or a similar financial role in Malaysia.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) or Private Entity Reporting Standards (PERS), and expertise in local tax regulations.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Malay.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a diverse and culturally rich environment.

Salary:
RM4, RM6,000.00 per month
