Lab Technician

Job Profile:
- Maintain recordkeeping systems
- Maintain store and hygiene
- Check stock to maintain inventory
- Prepare sample in different forms; capsules, troches, ointments, creams, lotions, gels and suppositories.
- Package and label prepared sample
- Place and confirm that the beyond use date on the patient's product label is correct
- Report to leader or supervisor
- Execute operation & quality procedures on assigned randomly sampled scripts and document results following standards
- Responsible for daily cleaning and logs in accordance to established policy
- Perform daily work on all equipment including tablet machines, counters, and cleaning balances
- Perform filling and unloading of the dishwasher
- Ensure all equipment, including freezer/fridge temperatures and weights on scales at work station are verified and maintained every morning
- Ensure that all relevant steps in each compound are verified with the supervising leader
- Hard working and as a team player
- Take part in relevant training
- Take part in departmental meetings, as well as in relevant educational programs
- May be asked to handle special projects as well as perform other duties that may be assigned.
Job Level Standard:
- Proven experience as a lab operator or production assistant preferred
- Good attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
- Good problem solving and decisionmaking skills
- Caring, compassion and highly motivated
- Willingness to keep up to date with new products and practices
- Proficiency in 2 or more languages (Malay, English or Chinese dialects)
- Knowledge of State laws regulating pharmaceutical compounding practice
- Strong knowledge of product preparation, packaging and labeling as well as hygiene
- Effective oral and verbal communication, with costaff, pharmacists, and the public
- Strong ability to perform optimally in a team setting
- Ability to excel performing multiple tasks at the same time without making errors
Salary:
RM1, RM3,000.00 per month
