Responsible for the planning, directing, controlling, coordinating and participating in the activities of Finance Department ensuring compliance of Financial systems and procedures with established Finance standards and procedures.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To direct, coordinate and participate in all activities of Finance Department, such as:
a. Preparing management reports, financial statements and other financial reports.

b. Receiving, storing, issuing, Finance for, and controlling the cost of food, beverage and general supplies.

c. Requisitioning needed equipment, materials and supplies.

d. Receiving, keeping and disbursing funds.

e. Preparing, controlling and maintaining all vouchers and cheques.

h. Related Data Processing responsibilities.

  • To ensure that accurate and timely preparation and submission of all Financial Reports and Financial Statements. To prepare, or supervise the preparation of monthly closing journal entries and balance sheet and profit and loss schedules. To scrutinize the monthly financial report, investigate unusual variations and prepare comments to be attached to the report.
  • To maintain internal control systems and procedures and continuous audits of all Account, records and transactions.
  • To receive, safeguard and account for all cash, cheque, bank deposits, Account receivable, inventories, advances and investments of the Hotel.
  • To account for all income and receipts of the Hotel from every source, including income from the sale of merchandise and services, rents, commissions, deposits, prepayments and other sums received and unearned, collection of Account receivable and advances, proceeds from sale of equipment and supplies, interest and currency exchange.
  • To verify and account for all debts and financial liabilities of the Hotel.
  • To develop, implement and administer credit and collection policies and procedures that have been established.
  • To ensure the safekeeping of all contracts, insurance policies and all legal and financial documents.
  • To ensure that inventory taking of food, beverage, operating supplies and operating equipment are conducted in accordance to the respective policies and procedures.
  • Administration and control of cash management which includes investing in time deposits as well as obtaining overdraft facilities and opening letters of credit if necessary. To maintain good relationships with banks to facilitate the handling of such arrangements.
  • Must be able to run & generate payroll system every month.
  • Performs any other duties as may be assigned by the Management from time to time.
