JOB PURPOSE:


The job of a Deckhand (Pembantu Jurumudi) involves performing a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth operation of boats.

They must be flexible and capable of handling various cleaning and maintenance-related duties. Their primary responsibilities include keeping the boat clean and facilitating navigation within Port Dickson Port (PDP).

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Lubricating and cleaning machinery.
  • Carrying out simple maintenance tasks.
  • Assisting in mooring operations at JETTY or SBM.
  • Completing other tasks as instructed by the skipper.
  • Utilizing various ropes, knots, radio, and navigational equipment.
  • Assisting during emergencies and effectively using safety equipment.
  • Adhering to safety procedures and complying with the code of safe working practices.
  • Assisting in operations related to mooring, unmooring, and anchoring.

Job Types:
Full-time, Contract

Contract length: 12 months

Salary:
RM2, RM2,500.00 per month
