TO COLLECT WITH WITNESS ASSIGNED BY THE FINANCIAL CONTROLLER / FINANCE MANAGER THAT ALL REMITTANCE ENVELOPES OF FRONT OFFICE AND DEPARTMENTAL CASHIERS FROM THE DROP SAFE AND VERIFY AGAINST CASHIERS REMITTANCE REGISTERED RECORD.

EACH ENVELOPE SHOULD BE INSPECTED AFTER IT IS REMOVED TO SEE THAT IT IS PROPERLY SEALED BEFORE PLACING IT IN THE GENERAL CASHIER MONEY BAG.

BOTH THE SENIOR GENERAL CASHIER AND WITNESS WILL HAVE TO SIGN ON THE DEPOSITORY RECORD TO INDICATE THE NUMBER OF ENVELOPES REMOVED FROM THE DROP SAFE.

IF THE SENIOR GENERAL CASHIER FINDS AN ENVELOPE UNSEALED/TORN, THE FINANCIAL CONTROLLER / FINANCE MANAGER SHOULD BE CALLED IMMEDIATELY.

IN THEIR PRESENCE, THE CONTENTS OF THE ENVELOPE SHOULD BE COUNTED AND ALL THREE PERSONS SHOULD SIGN ON THE COUNT SHEET.

THE KEY AND COMBINATION TO THE DROP SAFE SHOULD BE KNOWN ONLY TO THE SENIOR GENERAL CASHIER.

THE KEY TO THE DROP SAFE SHOULD BE KEPT LOCKED IN THE HOTEL SAFE DEPOSIT BOX BY THE SENIOR GENERAL CASHIER AT THE END OF THE DAY.

ACCESS TO THE DROP SAFE IS NOT TO BE PERMITTED TO ANYONE INCLUDING THE SENIOR GENERAL CASHIER AT ANY TIME AFTER THE BOX IS LOCKED FOLLOWING THE REGULAR WITHDRAWAL OF CASHIER ENVELOPES.

IN URGENT CASES, HOWEVER, THE ACCESS CAN BE AUTHORIZED AND MUST BE DONE IN THE PRESENCE OF THE FINANCIAL CONTROLLER / FINANCE MANAGER.

2. TO COUNT TOGETHER WITH THE WITNESS ANY CASH AND CHEQUE ENCLOSED AND VERIFY WITH CASHIER REMITTANCE REPORTS.

IF THE CONTENTS OF AN ENVELOPE DIFFER WITH THE CONTENTS INDICATED BY THE CASHIER ON THE ENVELOPE, THE FINANCIAL CONTROLLER / FINANCE MANAGER SHOULD BE NOTIFIED PROMPTLY.

THEREUPON, A REPORT OF THE DIFFERENCE SHOULD BE PREPARED. 3.

ALL CHEQUE RECEIVED BY MAIL WILL BE GIVEN TO THE SENIOR GENERAL CASHIER ALONG WITH A LIST IN TRIPLICATES PREPARED BY THE ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE CLERK.

THE SENIOR GENERAL CASHIER WILL VERIFY THE CHEQUE TO THE LIST FOR CORRECTNESS AND CODE TYPES OF PAYMENTS MADE.

UPON SIGNING OF THE RECEIPT ACKNOWLEDGMENT, THE SENIOR GENERAL CASHIER WILL RETURN ONE COPY TO THE FINANCE MANAGER, SECOND COPY TO CREDIT EXECUTIVE AND THE THIRD COPY TO BE ATTACHED TO THE CHECKS.

OFFICIAL RECEIPTS WILL BE ISSUED BY THE SENIOR GENERAL CASHIER ACCORDING TO THE CHECK LIST RECEIVED SHOWING DETAILS/PARTICULARS OF PAYMENTS.

THE FIRST COPY OF THE OFFICIAL RECEIPTS TOGETHER WITH THE CHECK LIST MUST BE GIVEN FIRST TO THE CREDIT EXECUTIVE TO INDICATE THE CORRECT INVOICE NUMBER OF CUSTOMER FOR PROPER ALLOCATION OF PAYMENTS BY THE ACCOUNT RECEIVABLE CLERK.

4. TO PREPARE BANK DEPOSITS OF ALL CHEQUE AND CASH AND ENSURE THAT ALL CASH COLLECTIONS ARE DEPOSITED INTACT. 5.

TO PREPARE THE SENIOR GENERAL CASHIER DAILY REPORT BY ENTERING THE DAY DETAILED CASH COLLECTIONS AND ALL OTHER TERMS OF PAYMENTS RECEIVED FOR REVIEW AND COMPLETION BY FINANCE MANAGER.

TO PROVIDE FRONT OFFICE CASHIERS WITH SUFFICIENT CHANGE AND TO ANTICIPATE AND PLAN FOR EXTRA CHANGE FOR LONG WEEKENDS OR HOLIDAYS.

7. TO REIMBURSE FRONT OFFICE CASHIERS FOR DISBURSEMENTS MADE BY THEM (DUE BACKS). 8. TO PREPARE AND SUBMIT SUCH FOREIGN EXCHANGE CONTROL REPORTS AS MAY BE REQUIRED BY LOCAL LAW. 9.

TO SECURE APPROVAL FROM THE FINANCIAL CONTROLLER TO UPDATE FOREIGN EXCHANGE RATES AT THE FRONT OFFICE ACCORDING TO DAILY BANK INFORMATION.

10. TO DISBURSE PETTY CASH REQUESTS THAT HAS BEEN APPROVED BY EITHER FINANCIAL CONTROLLER OR FINANCE MANAGER. 11.

TO ENSURE THAT THE COMBINATION TO THE GENERAL CASHIER SAFE IS NOT KNOWN TO ANYONE OTHER THAN THE SENIOR GENERAL CASHIER.

TO ENSURE THAT ENCASHMENT OF EMPLOYEES PERSONAL CHECKS AND CASH ADVANCES ARE MADE ONLY IF THEY HAVE THE APPROVAL OF BOTH THE GENERAL MANAGER AND FINANCIAL CONTROLLER / FINANCE MANAGER.

13. TO COUNT AND BALANCE HIS OWN HOUSE BANK DAILY. 14. TO MAINTAIN CUSTODY OF UNCLAIMED WAGES. 15. TO ASSIST WHEN REQUIRED IN CARRYING OUT SURPRISE CASH COUNTS. 16. TO CARRY OUT ANY OTHER REASONABLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AS MAY BE ASSIGNED. 17. TO PROVIDE COURTEOUS AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICE AND TO MAINTAIN GOOD WORKING RELATIONSHIPS WITH ALL COLLEAGUES THROUGHOUT THE HOTEL. 18. TO HAVE A COMPLETE UNDERSTANDING OF THE HOTEL EMPLOYEE HANDBOOK AND TO ADHERE TO THE REGULATIONS CONTAINED THEREIN. 19. TO HAVE A COMPLETE UNDERSTANDING OF THE HOTEL'S POLICY RELATING TO FIRE, SAFETY AND HEALTH. 20.

TO ATTEND TO ANY OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS REQUESTED BY FINANCIAL CONTROLLER / FINANCE MANAGER FOR THE EFFICIENT FUNCTIONING OF THE DEPARTMENT AND TO RESPOND TO CHANGES IN DEPARTMENTAL FUNCTIONS AS DICTATED BY THE INDUSTRY, COMPANY, OR THE HOTEL.

21. TO PERFORM ANY OTHER DUTIES OR ASSIGNMENTS AS AND WHEN DIRECTED BY THE MANAGEMENT.
