Overview


Mercury Integrated Malaysia seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and passionate Account Executive (Events) who thrives in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

On a day to day basis, you will be handling:

  • Project Management: Day-to-day client servicing, support account lead in overseeing the end-to-end management of events, including conceptualization, planning, logistics, and execution. Work collaboratively with internal teams/freelancers to implement and coordinate deliverables, and ensure project execution is smooth, efficient, on time, within budget, and meet or exceed client expectations;
  • Client Relations: Cultivate strong relationships with clients, understanding their event objectives, and providing strategic recommendations that ensure content and results are onbrand. Serve as the primary point of contact, ensuring consistent communication and exceeding client satisfaction;
  • Vendor and

Supplier Management:
Identify, evaluate, and negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers. Coordinate and oversee their services to guarantee seamless execution and exceptional quality standards;

  • Quality Assurance: Maintain the highest level of quality in event deliverables, including production, audiovisual, catering, décor, and overall guest experience;
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and proactively develop contingency plans. Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and regulatory requirements throughout the event planning process;
  • Industry Knowledge: Support account lead in sales activities through research of event proposals, including keeping up to date with evolving content, design trends, and technologies, etc., and promoting innovation and continuous improvement;
  • New Business: Conduct market research, support in presentations, and prepare proposals to acquire new clients.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A diploma or bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Marketing/Project Management/Communications) from an accredited college or university;
  • At least 1 year of relevant agency experience in events management;
  • Proactive and strategic approach to problemsolving, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. Adaptability and flexibility in managing unforeseen challenges;
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fastpaced, deadlinedriven environment;
  • Understanding of clients' requirements with ability to execute effectively and efficiently;
  • Indepth understanding of the events industry, current trends, and emerging technologies. Familiarity with event management software and tools is a plus;
  • Selfmotivated and resourceful, with high levels of initiative;
  • Excellent written and communication skills;
  • Resilience, determination, enthusiasm, and flexibility to cope with weeknights and weekend work, and ability to perform under pressure;
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Attention to detail is critical;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, and Google Docs.

Salary:
RM3, RM4,500.00 per month
