ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Global Projects Centre West is the main hub at Subsea 7 for handling its largest projects worldwide.

As a Senior Engineer - Installation Analysis Engineer in the Risers, Installation Analyses and Umbilical (RIAU) department, your main role is to deliver comprehensive installation analysis for big projects in different phases like Project, Tender, and FEED. Additionally, you will be involved in enhancing the discipline through contributions to Technology Development and Continuous Improvements initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACTIVITIES

Some of your main responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee the entire installation analysis scope package, covering various areas like Flexible / Umbilical / Cable Lay, Structure and Mooring installation.
  • Manage the in-place analysis of static Flexible flowlines and jumpers.
  • Lead a team of analysis engineers to ensure all engineering works are delivered efficiently.
  • Support training and improvement projects by developing tools, guidelines, and promoting knowledge sharing within the team.
Role at Project Initiation

Define the scope, schedule, and interdisciplinary requirements of the project. Understand client expectations and previous project experiences. Identify project interfaces and agree on a plan with department managers.

Participate in project proposals and estimates, ensuring technical queries are reviewed thoroughly.

Role during Project Execution

Create engineering design basis, technical specifications, and reports as needed. Review OrcaFlex analysis for compliance. Ensure proper QA/QC procedures are followed and manage project interfaces effectively.

Attend various project meetings, lead engineering reviews, and participate in technical audits.

PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Must have a Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering field, with a Master's or PhD preferred. Substantial experience in oil and gas industry, preferably in construction and installation design. Proficient in OrcaFlex and familiar with standard codes. Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience, including leading small teams.

Proficiency in English is necessary. Desirable knowledge in Installation Analyse, Offshore experience, Python, Welding, and Material.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Mainly based in the Kuala Lumpur office with occasional offshore work during project execution. Working hours comply with local regulations and Company policies.
