Department Overview The Accessories team is responsible for the portfolio strategy and solutions that are sold globally. This includes defining portfolio strategy and actions to 1) Strengthen and grow the core, 2) Expand into adjacent opportunities and 3) Drive strategic growth. In line with these key strategic thrusts we are organized into various focus areas that align closely with our product development teams.
Job Description

As a Product Planning Consultant, you will be responsible for driving new products for our future Audio Accessories products and solutions. Experience and interest in earpieces and headsets will be a plus. The job areas will span from identification of portfolio gaps, translation of these into value propositions and product concepts, validating these with customers, working directly with design and engineering teams, as well as partnering with our sales, marketing and strategic teams, to ensure that the solution is well-defined with a foundation to be successfully executed.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, combining product, technical and market knowledge with commercial insight to guide the team in building the best possible solutions. You are responsible for bringing new products to the market with a real competitive edge. Your curiosity, attention to detail, passion about customer experience and focus on results enable you to ensure our products are successful in helping to grow our business.

As Product Planning Consultant, you will..

• Plan, organize, drive, and facilitate the development of solution concepts
• Build business cases both for individual products and overall solutions
• Help identify the need for, plan and facilitate end user research
• Drive use case development and translate these into tangible requirements
• Prepare and present the visions to senior management and key stakeholder
• Collaborate with partners internally as well as externally to find the right solution elements at the right quality and cost, through the complete solution development cycle from product concept to end of life.
• Collaborate with Global Sales and Strategy teams to drive towards customer acceptance
• Define and communicate product positioning and key product messages to regional sales enablement teams and work closely with Marketing Communications on the content of product marketing collateral.
• Ensure compelling training modules are developed for the internal sales organizations and channel partners.
• Manage the New Product Introduction process for successful market penetration.
• Determine alternative solutions for RFP requirements while minimizing roadmap development impact.

Basic Requirements

• Candidate must have at least a Bachelor's Degree in the relevant field.
• Must have at least 5+ years experience in one of the following: Product Management, Business Development or Strategy, Product Marketing or Engineering.
• Fluent in English, written and spoken
• Demonstrate knowledge, interest, and curiosity in Audio accessory trends including Earpieces, Headsets, Bluetooth audio technology
• Demonstrable product management experience, translating customer needs into engineering requirements and winning product concepts - Ideally within a field that combines hardware and software/apps development.
• Taking ownership and driving results, balancing technical, product and business trade-offs
• A strong commercial awareness combined with a clear technical understanding
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
• Strong interpersonal and networking skills and navigate well in a multicultural environment
• A structured and result oriented approach, with focus on quality in your daily work
• Experience in reading trends out of Market Intelligence and Market Research data
• Excellent presentation skills and are able to clearly communicate your product vision
• Experience facing customers and understanding the root cause of product inputs
• Experience with project management and facilitation
• Preferably with startup experience

• As Motorola Solutions is a global company, frequent communication over various time zones are expected.
• Travelling is expected to be approximately 30 days per year.
