Reporting to the PMO Manager, the Project Manager plays an important role in ensuring timely project delivery within the PMO. The Project Manager is accountable for the successful delivery of the projects assigned and serves as the single point of contact towards end customer. Proven Project Managers may move on to take senior roles within the PMO where he or she can expect to handle projects of larger scale and complexity.


Accountabilities:

Responsible for the start-to-finish delivery of projectsResponsible for delivery of projects of a high quality, within budget and according to agreed schedule and users requirementsActively plan and manage project scope, schedules and resources on the projectMonitor resource utilization to facilitate planning & scheduling of resourcesLead diverse teams of stakeholders (internal and external)Identify, assess and manage the risks of the project and take appropriate mitigation actionsManage project scope creep and mitigate it when it occurs, manage changes in users requirements according to Change Control processes, schedule slippage, technical problems and shortages of resourcesEnsures timely submission of reports for projectsWork closely with clients to ensure timely closure of contractual milestone for billing
The Individual and their Experience: A minimum of 5 years in IT Project Management (preferably mid to large scale ICT projects)Bachelor Degree in IT/Computer Science or relatedTechnically competent with strong knowledge of networking, cloud and security systems.Strong written and oral communication skills.Problem solver and critical thinkerProject and time management skillsExcellent presentation and negotiation skillsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Project, PowerPoint, Word, and ExcelAn added advantage to possess IT and Project Management Certifications – PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL v4, CITPM, PMI-ACP
