Quality Assurance & Control (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)

The QA Manager is responsible for coordinating the activities required, conduct QA audits to meet quality standards and expectations. The individual will also monitor and advise on the performance of the quality management system and produce data and generate reports on performance measuring against set indicators. This person must also liaise with other managers and staff throughout the organization to ensure the QA system is functioning properly. Where appropriate, the QA Manager will advise on changes and their implementation and provide training tools and techniques to enable others to achieve quality.

Job Description:

  • Overseeing the whole function of QA department by supervising the inspections for incoming, in-process, and outgoing products.
  • Establish, review, and continuously improve the Food Safety Management System (food regulation/HACCP/ISO/HALAL/FSSC/Customer's requirements).
  • Develop, implement, and maintain document control for efficient management and record-keeping of all certification requirements.
  • Responsible for food safety validation, establishment, modification, and implementation of new or existing equipment/methods in production.
  • Assist in laboratory setup and oversee external lab testing parameters for exportation.
  • Provide regulatory work advice/support to stakeholders from R&D and production to ensure the success of product registration and regulatory compliance for various new product development and existing product change management.
  • Study the export/import rules and regulations of the country. Oversee export country registration, review importing countries' requirements, and liaise with regulatory agencies.
  • Conduct sensory evaluation on supplier samples and new product samples.
  • Collaborate with various departments, customers, suppliers, and government regulatory bodies to prioritize quality within the company.
  • Any other duties as deemed fit by the Management.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Food Science/Food Technology with a minimum of 5 years of related working experience.
  • Experience in the implementation of Halal and HACCP certification standards requirements at the internal and external auditing level.
  • Experience in an in-house test lab.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and independent.
  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills.
  • Willing to take on responsibilities and challenges.
  • Willing to work at Nusajaya Tech Park, Johor Bahru.
