Responsibilities

  1. Implement the QA/QC management system at site.
  2. Prepare progress report / Technical report to client for presentation purposes.
  3. Prepare RFI etc. pertaining to QA /QC requirements.
  4. Prepare statement of works (method Statement) as required by Client.
  5. Attend all material testing at laboratory and compile all records and updates.
  6. Coordinate with quality inspections with all the site sub-contractors and vendors; coordinate all non-destructive testing on site.
  7. Coordinate with the customer's representative on all quality matters.
  8. Distribute relevant QA/QC documentation to site subcontractors.
  9. Verify that the quality-related site activities are in accordance with the applicable codes and standards.
  10. Participate in the site internal and external audits.
  11. Coordinate all the quality site inspections through the site QC inspectors.
  12. Ensure all quality control documentation is compiled and completed for as-built handover through the QC turnover engineer.
  13. Control all non-conformance reports and undertake remedial action.
  14. Complete site quality control instructions and action remedial responses.
  15. Complete and coordinate the approval of the site's QC technical submittals to the customer.
  16. Coordinate with the site construction manager on all quality issues; coordinate and chair the QA/QC site weekly meetings with the project's subcontractors QC personnel.
  17. Assure all technical documents relative to site quality control are current.
  18. Perform ad-hoc duties assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

  1. Candidates must possess at least a Degree in Engineering (Civil) or Construction Management / Building or equivalent.
  2. Minimum 1 year hands-on experience in QA/QC for the construction industry.
  3. Good construction knowledge and coordination skills with sub-contractors, consultants, and clients.
  4. Required language – English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  5. Preferably specializing in Engineering – Civil/Construction/Structural or equivalent.
  6. Technical awareness of civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and process engineering.
