**Career Development Specialist** Drive the career development process for BCG's consulting team in Southeast Asia, working closely with stakeholders to enhance process efficiency and impact. Responsibilities

The Career Development Specialist plays a key role in driving the day-to-day operations of the career development process for the consulting team. This includes:

  • Facilitating quarterly Career Development Committee meetings, working closely with CD Chairs and CD Advisors
  • Preparing summaries for pre-CD discussion with CD Chairs
  • Preparing materials for career development meetings and supporting meeting logistics
  • Cross-checking and calibrating evaluations; engaging independently with evaluators to challenge and ensure robust feedback and well-calibrated scores
  • Brainstorming and strategizing with CD Chair on cohort themes and planning relevant interventions
  • Facilitating meetings and taking minutes (occasional travel within Southeast Asia may be required)
  • Preparing post-meeting material, including seeking leadership endorsement on key decisions made and following up end-to-end on various documentation required

Additionally, the Career Development Specialist will:

  • Drive highly efficient day-to-day Career Development operations
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date CD records for each SEA consulting staff
  • Ensure all CD feedback processes are delivered in a timely manner and meet BCG's high standards
  • Independently allocate Career Advisors for all consulting staff and develop initiatives to improve Career Advisor quality
  • Coordinate and support CD for transfer candidates (in/outbound)
  • Support Partnership in identifying and developing high potential individuals and ensuring retention and eventual successful progression to Partnership
  • Coordinate with peers from other teams (e.g., Finance, Human Resources) and with counterparts across the region to maintain accuracy of information on systems
  • Independently propose initiatives and work with manager in developing and continuously improving Consulting Team's career development framework and process

The Career Development Specialist will also support key reporting and analytics, including:

  • Generating reports and performing data analysis for pre- and post-CDC reporting as well as ad-hoc requests
  • Preparing relevant HR and workforce planning reports – attrition, tenure on a monthly basis for the regional and global teams
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience in the HR field
  • Bachelor/Masters degree, preferably with business or HR focus
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
  • Database management and reporting experience. Experience using Workday an added advantage
  • Personal and professional attributes:
    • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and experience working with a variety of stakeholders, including senior stakeholders; service-oriented mindset
    • Able to work under pressure, can prioritize work effectively and adhere to strict deadlines
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
    • Attention to detail, process-oriented, and well-organized
    • Strong drive for excellence and exceptional work ethic in a fast-paced work environment
    • Maintains the highest level of confidentiality regarding all HR matters
