As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Risk Management and Sustainability Manager to lead our efforts in mitigating risks and advancing sustainability initiatives.

Position Overview: The Risk Management and Sustainability Manager will be responsible for spearheading the development and implementation of comprehensive risk management and sustainability frameworks within the company. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify, assess, and mitigate risks, as well as driving sustainability initiatives that align with the company's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop, and implement an integrated risk management, compliance, and sustainability framework for the company
  2. Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify existing and potential risks impacting the company, and evaluate the effectiveness of current risk mitigation strategies.
  3. Provide research and analytical support on best practices in risk management and sustainability, and benchmark against industry standards.
  4. Develop risk mitigation and management plans for identified risks, and establish the company's risk appetite.
  5. Review and enhance the sustainability strategy, and formulate policies to drive the sustainability agenda within the company.
  6. Lead initiatives to improve environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  7. Coordinate the ESG program and serve as the internal focal point for sustainability efforts.
  8. Prepare and manage risk management and insurance budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  9. Provide timely and accurate reporting on risk management and sustainability initiatives to senior management and the Board of Directors.
  10. Educate and raise awareness among business heads and employees on risk management and sustainability practices.
  11. Conduct policy and compliance audits, liaising with internal and external auditors as necessary.
  12. Stay abreast of regulatory requirements and industry trends, particularly in the oil and gas/shipping sector, and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
  13. Build a culture of risk awareness and sustainability consciousness within the organization through training and support initiatives. Job Requirements:
    1. Bachelor's Degree in Financial Audit, Risk Management, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field.
    2. 5 to 7 years of experience in risk management and/or sustainability roles, preferably within the oil and gas/shipping industry.
    3. Strong understanding of industry practices, regulatory requirements, and standards related to risk management and sustainability.
    4. Familiarity with Bursa Malaysia's requirements on sustainability would be advantageous.
    5. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to critically evaluate complex information.
    6. Detail-oriented and meticulous in approach, with a focus on accuracy and precision.
    7. Demonstrated commercial awareness and business acumen.
    8. Effective planning and organizational abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
    9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
