Chief Financial Officer/ Chief Operating Officer (Property Development)

We are looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer cum Chief Operating Officer to oversee our organization's ongoing operations and procedures.

You will be the company's second-in-command and responsible for the efficiency of the business.

The CFO cum COO role is a key member of the senior management team, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

You'll have to maintain control of diverse business operations and will lead all financial administration, business planning, and budgeting, so we expect you to be an experienced and efficient leader.

If you also have excellent people skills, business acumen and exemplary work ethics.

The goal of the CFO cum COO position is to secure the functionality of business to drive extensive and sustainable growth.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND RESULT AREAS
Strategy

Partner with CEO on all operational and strategic issues as they arise; provide strategic recommendations to the CEO based on financial analysis and projections, cost identification and allocation, and revenue/expense analysis.

Participate in the ongoing strategic planning process as an integral member of the senior management team.
Oversee long-term budgetary planning and cost management in alignment with LGMPC strategic plan.
Engage the Board Directors or align financial management with short- and long-term financial planning and projection.
Engage the finance committee around issues, trends, and changes in the operating model and operational delivery.
Financial and Operation Management

Oversee budgeting, and the implementation of Budgets, so as to monitor progress and present operation metrics both internally and external.

Ensure the finance staff maintains financial record systems in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting principles, and monitor the use of all funds.

Oversee the preparation and approval of all financial reporting materials and prepare and communicate monthly and annual financial statements.

Manage cash flow and forecasting; direct all financial, project-based, and departmental accounting.
Coordinating all audit activities.

Review all formal finance related procedures, processes, and administration, recommending improvements to the systems in place and managing the systems going forward.

Responsible for management of all aspects of corporate/ financial/ accounting functions inclusive of financial planning, budgetary controls, treasury management, tax planning, forecasting & etc.

Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including audit, tax matters and any other corporate governance.

Oversee and participate in feasibility studies and due diligence on potential investment and development projects, acquisition of new land bank, organization budget, determining cost effectiveness of respective development projects and its execution, to advise on the investment impact to the group cash and profit position.

Responsible to source for project funding, evaluate and apply for financing and loan instruments.

Oversee cash flow projections of the Company to control payment and collection schedule for individual property development project to achieve efficiency in cash management system.

To establish operational budgets and manage company cash flow to ensure the budgeted goals are achieved and cost objectives are met.

To manage and review audited accounts and to ensure all audit findings points are promptly resolved.

Leading the periodical review on property development and construction budget with project teams to evaluate the reasonableness of financial results.

Perform ad-hoc projects, analysis and forecasting related to accounts activity. Develop and manage finance staff.
Design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures
Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth
Establish policies that promote company culture and vision
Oversee daily operations of the statutory body
Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication
Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
Write and submit reports to the CEO in all matters of importance
Assist CEO in business development ventures
Participate in expansion activities (investments, acquisitions, corporate alliances etc.)
Manage relationships with Ministry/government bodies
MUST-HAVES
Demonstrated excellence in managing finance, accounting, budgeting, control and reporting.
Skill in examining, developing, re-engineering, and recommending financial policies and procedures.
Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting a strategic vision into an operational model.
Demonstrated commitment to the government statutory body with a passion for the organization's mission is essential.
Working experience with government statutory body will be an added advantage.
Understanding of business functions such as Plantation, Property, Commercial, HR, Finance, etc.
Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
