The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in EPC/EPCIC projects and possess strong computational skills.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage structural engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring all deliverables meet quality, budget, and schedule requirements.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated engineering solutions are developed and implemented.
- Provide advanced structural engineering analysis and design for FLNG, LNG, and FPSO projects.
- Utilize computational tools and software to perform structural analysis and simulations.
- Develop and review detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
- Oversee the execution of EPC/EPCIC projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.
- Address and resolve technical issues that arise during project execution.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical support and professional development opportunities.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure all engineering work meets regulatory and company standards.
- Review and approve design documents, calculations, and project deliverables.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on structural engineering matters.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to clients and stakeholders.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of twelve (12) years' experience in the oil and gas industry, with a focus on FLNG, LNG, and FPSO structures.
- At least five (5) years of experience in a lead position within EPC/EPCIC projects.
- Strong computational skills and proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, SACS, ANSYS).
- Ability to learn and adapt to new software packages as required.
- In-depth knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Full command of the English language, both verbally and in writing.
- Must be a Malaysian citizen or a Permanent Resident of Malaysia.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification or Chartered Engineer status is an advantage.
- Experience with advanced computational tools and software.
