Reservoir Engineer Job Description

Summary: Develop and maintain dynamic reservoir simulation models to optimize field development and hydrocarbon recovery.

  • Lead the development, maintenance and history matching of dynamic reservoir simulation models, utilizing classical reservoir engineering techniques as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with geoscientists, drilling and production engineers to monitor field performance and optimize production.
  • Contribute to Field Development Plans, including forecasted production profiles and data acquisition plans.
  • Identify opportunities for future infill wells, workovers and near-field exploration targets, and prepare recommendations and proposals.
  • Develop production profiles and reserve booking for input into reporting systems.
  • MSc in Engineering or related discipline with formal training in reservoir engineering functions.
  • At least 12 years' experience in relevant reservoir engineering disciplines.
  • Strong understanding of petroleum geology, geophysics, petrophysics, reservoir engineering and production.
  • Proficient in dynamic modelling, history matching and sensitivity analysis using Eclipse or similar software.
