Reservoir Engineer

Lead reservoir engineer responsible for developing and maintaining dynamic reservoir simulation models to optimize field development and hydrocarbon recovery.

Job Description:

• Develop and maintain dynamic reservoir simulation models to support field development and hydrocarbon recovery.
• Work with geoscientists, drilling and production engineers to monitor field performance and optimize production.
• Provide input into field development plans, including forecasted production profiles and data acquisition plans.
• Assess opportunities for future infill wells, workovers and near-field exploration targets.
• Attend internal and external reviews and technical meetings to discuss field development and hydrocarbon recovery.
• Develop production profiles and reserve booking for input into reporting systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain dynamic reservoir simulation models using Eclipse or similar software.
• Work with geoscientists and production engineers to optimize field development and hydrocarbon recovery.
• Provide input into field development plans and data acquisition plans.
• Assess opportunities for future infill wells, workovers and near-field exploration targets.
• Develop production profiles and reserve booking for input into reporting systems.

Requirements:

• Honor degree or M.Sc in Engineering or related discipline with formal training courses in reservoir engineering.
• 12 years or more work experience in reservoir engineering disciplines.
• Good understanding of petroleum geology, geophysics, petrophysics, reservoir engineering and production.
• Proficient in dynamic modelling, history matching and sensitivity analysis using Eclipse or similar software.
• Experience in field development planning, economic evaluation and proposing and implementing successful reservoir management plans.
