What role you will play in our teamThe Advanced Materials Engineer position is part of the Asia-Pacific Materials Integrity Team within the Materials Integrity department. This role involves providing engineering support for Capital Projects and Operations across all business lines at Menara ExxonMobil, KL.
What you will do- Provide day-to-day engineering support for materials-related tasks
- Offer on-site field assistance during scheduled maintenance operations
- Deliver materials specialist support for major capital projects and smaller regional initiatives to ensure technical excellence
- Engage in programs geared towards enhancing unit reliability and streamlining maintenance procedures
- Participate in relevant industry activities (MTI, API, and NACE)
- Train and mentor entry-level staff to support their professional growth
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Materials Engineering with a minimum of 10 years working experience in the oil & gas industry
- Demonstrated expertise in:
- Welding/fabrication and Inspection/Testing
- Metallurgy and manufacturing
- Materials selection
- Failure Analysis
- Corrosion control
- Willingness to travel to work sites and fabrication facilities worldwide
