Accounts payable, team lead

The ideal candidate is a hands-on strategic individual and able to work independently as well as in a highly collaborative team environment.
The incumbent will have a high level of influence within the organization; effective leadership skills are essential.We are looking for a person with a minimum of three years' experience in an Accounts Payable Manager position, who can manage a staff and effectively delegate responsibilities, develop a sense of accountability and follow-through, and most of all, implement effective/efficient policies and procedures that will raise the productivity and performance of the department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for maintaining and implementing best practices within the Accounts Payable department.
As the main point of contact, the Accounts Payable Team Lead is responsible for leading the staff with respect to methods, practices, and expected standard of performance.
In addition, this position is responsible for:
Managing accounts payable systems, records and filesMaintaining excellent external vendor and internal relations through customer service and prompt response to inquiriesBalancing and reconciling to the general ledgerConducting month-end and year-end closing proceduresEnsuring the timely processing, review and issuance of payments and expense report reimbursementsEnsuring that overall department workloads and priorities are clearly communicated at all levelsTo perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position.
