About the job As the Accounting Manager for IPC Shopping Centres, you will be responsible to ensure excellent Finance, Accounting and Credit Control of the Shopping Centre and its tenants, while improving tenant, customer and employee satisfaction. Be a strong contributor to the management team and employee, provide Finance, Accounting and Credit Control subject matter expertise, process Finance, Accounting and Credit Control operations matters and ensure that the Finance, Accounting and Credit Control strategies are put into practice in the most effective and efficient way in order to fulfil the purpose of the Finance, Accounting and Credit Control function.
Job description
  • Oversee the smooth and efficient running of Accounting Department and ensure compliance with statutory authority, audit and taxation requirements.
  • Ensure effective management, monitoring and tracking of business entities, reporting financial status.
  • Analyse business performance / results, providing feedback to key stakeholders.
  • Monitor tenants and work with leasing to follow up on collections.
  • Prepare and report monthly financial results in accordance with company deadlines.
  • Monitor and account for company assets.
  • Financial accounting and ensuring books and records are properly kept to meet statutory or audit requirements.
  • Supervision of staff to ensure that accounts report is meets deadlines.
  • Guiding and coaching co-workers including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
  • Budget and Forecast - Preparation on presentation materials; consolidation and analysis on numbers from different departments.
  • Responsible for management reporting to Ikano SA.
  • Furnish information to regulatory authorities, external auditors for annual audit, tax consultants / manager for tax filing and / or any authorised parties.
  • Renew and Improve SOPs and identify gaps to drive accounting and finance process efficiencies and improvements.
  • Involvement and contribution in finance related projects including system improvements and upgrades which support the whole accounting processes.
Qualification
  • Possess at least 5-6 years of working in Finance and Accounting field, preferable with Retail or shopping centre experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, ACCA or equivalent.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of an organization.
  • Managerial, leadership and technical background from large scale companies.
  • Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
  • Attention to detail and ability to analyze large amounts of data.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Positive to changes and able to establish good stakeholders' relationship.
  • Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Commercial awareness and customer service-oriented approach.
  • Financial responsibility and budgeting experience.
  • Has been involved with new system / process integrations / set-ups.
