As an Aruba Networking Technical Consultant (TC), your core task is to deeply grasp the Customer's success criteria for a Proof of Concept (PoC). Collaborate with the account team and Customer to outline relevant test cases, set up the test environment, and navigate any challenges to ensure a seamless testing process. Conduct the PoC on-site, either at an HPE facility or Customer premises. Thoroughly document all test cases for a comprehensive report to be presented to Customers and the account team. Your role demands expertise in the products being tested, test tools, applications, server infrastructure, networking technologies, industry solutions, and client devices.
Your duties will include managing materials, overseeing logistics, and aiding in prioritizing and managing testing activities. You will also be responsible for executing the Aruba mobile first test plan in alignment with Aruba experts and stakeholders. This includes incorporating new competitive features and products into the test plans.
Additionally, you will be tasked with knowledge transfer and training for field teams in various regions. Collaborate with sales leadership to equip field teams with necessary skills and capabilities. On-site visits for testing activities and engaging with field teams and Customers to showcase Aruba's strengths in competitive scenarios are essential aspects of your role.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct complex Proof of Concepts (PoC) to finalize technical evaluations of Aruba products in the sales process.
- Elicit technical requirements from Customers and account teams.
- Define success metrics in collaboration with Customers and account teams to measure PoC success quantitatively.
- Develop detailed test plans and validate them with technical experts.
- Optimize technical solutions to meet opportunity requirements and future scalability.
- Differentiate Aruba from competitors and enhance preference for Aruba solutions.
- Act as a networking expert and represent Aruba to Customers.
- Support account teams with solution guidance, proposals, and presentations.
- Transfer knowledge to peers through mentoring and educational programs.
- Provide technical consultancy to Customers and account teams on networking solutions.
- Stay updated on industry trends and engage with Customers on relevant topics at various levels of management.
Required Qualifications:
- 5 to 10 years of industry experience with a Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
- Deep understanding of networking technology and proficiency in company products.
- Experience in evaluating networking equipment.
- Solid grasp of LAN and WLAN protocols, switching, routing, and security.
- Preferably holds industry certifications such as ACMX, CCIE/CWNP.
- Specialist in wireless technologies and standards.
- Skilled in RF spectrum analysis and wireless security.
- Expertise in networking protocols like VLANs, OSPF, BGP, and security mechanisms.
- Excellent communication skills for delivering technical presentations to diverse audiences.
- Ability to lead projects in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel, potentially up to 30% within the Asia Pacific & Japan region.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with Aruba technologies.
- Previous roles at Aruba in technical capacities.
