The Food & Beverage Departmental Trainer is responsible to train designated trainers and team members in the Food & Beverage Outlets on any related on-the-job, off-the-job training, maintaining SOPs, and providing comprehensive training by following Hilton Brand standards.

What will I be doing?

As the Food & Beverage Departmental Trainer, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  1. Possess full and accurate knowledge about all F&B outlets operations, food and beverage menus, product and service promotions and special events.

  2. Regularly refresh knowledge about all F&B outlets operations and products.

  3. Attend all necessary and related trainings arranged by HR and suggested by Director of Food & Beverage to have sufficient experience in arranging and conducting trainings; maintain this experience on a descent level at all times.
  4. Aware and drive of all trainings and training programs arranged by HR and ensure F&B staff participation or suggest nominations solely.
  5. Closely cooperate with HR and other related departments in terms of arranging trainings and their scheduling with regards to F&B operation.
  6. Initiate various on-job trainings in and for F&B department.
  7. Conduct or participate in conducting off-job trainings for Food & Beverage team Members alongside with HR Training team.
  8. Arrange and conduct on-job trainings for all outlets according to training calendars.
  9. Ensure that on-job training calendars are updated on a monthly basis and trainings are taking place in each outlet according to their scheduling.
  10. Ensure that proper Learning attendance sheets are filled in and filed for all trainings in F&B Department.
  11. Ensure that the training calendar and training tracking for all Food & Beverage outlets are submitted to the HR Training department every month.
  12. Maintain appropriate level of confidentiality.
  13. Make sure that the highest quality standards of operation in accordance with hotel service procedures.
  14. Carry out any other reasonable duties and tasks assigned by department head or management.
  15. To work on Food & Beverage on-job related SOPs, follow up on the signature cycle, tracking, and training.
  16. Comply with company grooming standards at all times to portray a professional image of self and the hotel.
  17. Identify training opportunities in outlets with Outlets Manager during operation.
  18. Comply with time and attendance policies set by the hotel.
  19. To attend all Food and Beverage Meetings and Daily Operations Meetings as required.
  20. Familiarize yourself with emergency and evacuation procedures.
  21. Familiarize yourself with the Hilton Vision, Hilton Mission, Hilton values, Make It Right.
  22. Familiarize yourself with Stay Experience, achieve Hotel target for Breakfast score, Restaurant score & Pool Score.
  23. To report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name tag at all times.
  24. To maintain good working relationships with your own colleagues and all other departments.
  25. To have a complete understanding of and adhere to the hotel's policy relating to Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety.
  26. To maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
  27. To have a complete understanding of the hotel's employee handbook and adhere to the regulations contained within.
  28. To maintain a good rapport and working relationship with staff in the outlet and all other departments.
  29. To identify training needs and plan training programs for the Intern Trainees.

  31. To ensure that all Team Members including Part Timers maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
  32. To assist in the building of all efficient team of employees by taking an active interest in their welfare, safety and development.

  34. To ensure that all employees have a complete understanding of and adhere to the hotel's policy relating to Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety.

  35. Proven experience in training and development, specifically within the Food & Beverage industry. In-depth knowledge of hospitality service standards and operational procedures.
