The ideal candidate is responsible for developing and implementing a supply strategy that delivers the lowest total cost, reduces inventory, and maximizes customer satisfaction through world class service

Purpose:

Maintain high level of service through proper support of In-Market activities in different Markets such as demand planning review, Inventory Management, quality release process, OTC activities, logistics activities, Contract Management, Local redressing and any other activities related to ensuring supply continuity in the market.

Proactively engage Market Stakeholders in different physical locations to manage / resolve issues impacting supply continuity and accurately escalating appropriate issues to Line managers or Regional / Market Stakeholders in order to ensure timely remedial actions.

Continuously optimize / streamline market supply chain operations / processes in order to effectively and efficiently support market operations.

Responsibilities:
Commercial and IOAO/Supply Planning relationships

  • Support key initiatives in Market by offering demand / logistics expertise and leveraging other resources such as IOAO and Market GSC team to ensure successful execution.
  • Act as a point of contact representing Commercial Supply Chain for the assigned BU in Market to provide support of all supply chain related activities while leveraging relevant different Stakeholders to meet Market requirements. Serve as one of the contact point for external parties like LSP, all Market Cross Functional Stakeholders and E2 E planning team. Supply/ Demand Management
  • Monitor and ensure product supply, drive communication and issue resolution process with In-Market Cross Functional Stakeholders, E2 E planning team and any other relevant Stakeholders.
  • Demand Reviews with all Market Stakeholders & ensure Supply availability to meet Annual Budget targets.
  • Extensive application of Rapid Response, planning software for Statistical forecasting & Inventory management
  • Manage To-Market sales and supply order management.
  • Support planning / execution of product lifecycle activities (new launches, line extensions, generic launches, label changes, discontinuations, loss of exclusivity, etc).
  • Communicate timely and accurately demand upsides and downsides to E2 E planning team in order to ensure that Market receives appropriate level of inventory.
  • Conduct Monthly PCM (Product Change Management) reviews with Regulatory team to track Regulatory project's status & ensure supply continuity.
  • Evaluate and suggest different supply options in order to meet Market demand requirements (e.g. Product Launch, Stock Build, inventory sharing, lead time acceleration) while articulating / aligning the requirements with E2 E planning team to meet Market's short / long term needs.
  • Support tender management review in Market and conduct monthly review of tenders & contracts requirements with Market T&C team in order to support supply feasibility / potential inventory write-off analysis and to ensure supply meeting specific demand requirements.
  • Communicate supply challenge timely and clearly, align with Market Stakeholders to agree on realistic supply commitments.
  • Manage Market inventory level to meet safety stock targets / TDOS.
  • Maintain master-data including the planning parameters as appropriate. Asset Management
  • Minimize inventory write-offs. Monitor and manage inventory shelf-life / expiry dates, and actively improve processes to avoid obsolescence / write-offs.
  • Leveraging the support of Market Logistics team, ensure market expiring or short dated stock is physical disposed and financially recorded in timely and compliant manner. Logistics & OTC Operations
  • Be responsible of conducting shipment prioritization with regional and local logistics team to ensure goods arrived in market on time.
  • Oversee OTC process in coordination with Finance to ensure maximum OTIF & maximize TMS
  • Coordinate with Distributors for timely stock transfers to customers to maximize IMS
  • Support Market Quality and Operations team in reporting of FG quality related issues to E2 E planning team.
  • Coordinate with LSPs & Brokers to ensure smooth operations & contract management Qualifications Degree in Supply Chain / Logistics Management / Business Administration APICS training/ certification preferred General Skills
  • Exhibit good understanding of pharmaceutical industry, commercial dynamics, trends and regulatory processes.
  • Exhibit good understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing operations and end to end global product flows.
  • Exhibit excellent knowledge of legislation, practice and understanding of local Logistics market business environments (LSPs, transport).
  • Exhibit an understanding of Sales/Commercial/Marketing functional areas and the dynamic interactions with the Supply Chain function. Key Capabilities
  • Minimum 5 years working experience in any Supply Chain related fields (planning, scheduling, procurement, logistics, customer service, order management or demand management), preferably in the pharmaceutical/ chemical industry.
  • Able to remain focused and work efficiently under pressure while handling multiple tasks.
  • Expertise in use and leveraging of ERP systems and reporting tools (E.g. SAP ECC, Rapid Response, Business Intelligence tools, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, MS Power BI ...).
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills are required - ability to observe patterns and trends in data, determining root cause of issues and drawing proper conclusions from analysis.
  • Ability to make good decisions based on a mixture of analysis, experience and judgment.
  • Ability to manage, track and drive resolution of complex issues as well as improvement initiatives in parallel.
  • Ability to trade-off priorities within portfolio.
  • Ability to build deep knowledge of portfolio of products and good understand of mfg. plant capabilities.
  • Ability to proactively identify supply risks – through data analysis and market demand characteristics.
  • Ability to work in a complex matrix organization and within a multi– cultural environment, balancing needs of different stakeholders.
