Work you will do

As a globally recognized leader in consulting and Workday services, Deloitte's Workday practice helps organizations harness the value of Workday's platform combined with human and financial capital to deliver services to help drive business impact.

As a Workday professional, you will be responsible for assessing the HR needs of clients, designing, developing, and integrating HCM software to meet those needs, and testing and troubleshooting implemented software to find and resolve errors.

• Participate in the ideation phase and own the development of Extend apps.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user guides for Extend applications.
• Support testing and deployment of Extend apps.
• Collaborate with cross-stream consultants to understand where Extend can fill the gap.
• Ensure best practices and governance standards are followed in Workday Extend development, security, and compliance.

Enough about us, let's talk about you

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• Must have active Workday Integration and Extend Certifications.
• 2+ years of experience in Workday Extend App development including cutover/MTP and post-production or 3+ years of experience in a support role with experience in App enhancements and fixes.
• Proficiency in Workday Extend tools, including IntelliJ, App Builder, Workday Orchestrate, as well as API testing tools like Postman, Bruno, or similar. Knowledge of GitHub is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into scalable Extend solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and development teams.

To be successful in this role, you should have the following key experience and capabilities:

• Workday Certified, with additional integration certifications such as Workday Studio, CCTPP, and Orchestrate being an advantage.
• Strong understanding of Workday's Extend platform as a development framework for custom applications, including best practices in security, data modeling, and API integrations.
• Experience in Workday security, REST API, and Workday Object Model is a plus.
• Familiarity with PMD scripting, JSON, XSLT, and Workday UI/UX design principles.
• Hands-on experience with Agile development methodologies, including participation in sprints, backlog grooming, and iterative development cycles.
