- Expected salary: RM2,500 - RM3,500 per month
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
(A) CORPORATE LEGAL AFFAIRS
- Submission of MMR to the Management on the 15th every month.
- Responsible for all the administrative affairs of the Corporate Legal Head/ Manager.
- To maintain and facilitate smooth operations in the secretarial functions by the maintenance of filing record, scheduling, handling inquiries, preparing correspondence letters and performing tasks required by Corporate Legal Head/ Manager.
- To assist HOD on the preparations and/or peruse and/or comment on the following legal documents:
- Agreements on sales and purchase of properties/assets/shares
- Agreement on restructuring, reconstruction and amalgamation of companies
- Deed of mutual covenant
- Joint venture development agreements
- Power of attorney
- Loan facilities agreements and security documents
- Deed of settlement/ contra agreements
- Letters of engagement/ award
- Letters of acceptance
- Letters of undertaking
- Licensing agreements
- Leases and tenancy agreements
- Leasing and hire purchase agreements
- Construction agreements
- Letters of awards
- Memoranda of understanding
- Letters of intent
- Any other legal documents that can be vetted without the assistance of external lawyer
- To assists HOD on research to support the on-going litigation cases in court.
- Assist HOD to investigate facts of cases and ensure that all relevant information and/or documents are collected for external lawyers.
- Co-ordinate and ensure all existing legal cases are defended in the best interest of the company.
- Examine all actions and records of legal proceedings to ensure accuracy and validity.
- Facilitate effective communication with all departments to and from Corporate Legal Manager.
- To work in hand with Corporate Legal Manager reduce existing legal cases and to negotiate/settle Letter of Demand to avoid the legal suit.
- Work closely with all departments to reduce the legal cost payable on judgment and out of court legal cases.
- To prepare the summary after issuing the payment requisition on legal fees every month.
- To update legal fees payment on daily basis after payment has been made or new invoice comes in and to prepare the payment requisition immediately after budget submission for following month.
- Compilation and preparation of Monthly Management Report – for various Zone and booklet printout for Group Executive Director.
- Filing of Documents both incoming and outgoing letters into legal files.
- Assist Legal Head/ Manager in all ad-hoc Legal matters.
Requirements:
- At least SPM/Professional
- Certificates/Diploma at least 1 year of working experience in office environment.
- Can converse in Bahasa & basic English
- Good level of verbal and listening communication skills.
- Pro-active, able to work independently with minimum supervision.
