Job Description

You are a strong contributor to the HR department and store management team, provide subject matter expertise, process HR operations matters and ensure that HR strategies are translated into action in the most effective and efficient way; in order to fulfil the purpose of the HR function.

  • Reporting to the Human Resource Manager, you contribute to the creation and operational implementation of the country HR action plan.
  • You ensure that we follow national legislation, regulations and valid agreements in the labour market; e.g. employment contracts.
  • You ensure that remuneration practises in the store are competitive related to local market which enable us to attract and retain the right people in our business.
  • You making sure that the salary review processes are handled in a structured and professional way.
  • You use HR data to enable better management of all human resource related processes, payroll accuracy and timely, timekeeping and attendance and staff planning works in a timely and efficient way.
  • You ensure staff costs are in line with set targets as set in the budget.
  • You handle employee grievances in an effective and efficient manner so as to preserve good employee relations and industrial harmony.
  • You contribute actively that we have sufficient number of well qualified managers using management and competence review as the main tool and method for success.
  • You support managers in the development talk/ performance appraisals process.
Qualifications

You have at least 5 - 7 years of experience in Human Resource. You are people-oriented, you have good working knowledge of the full spectrum of HR functions, specifically in areas of compensation and benefits, recruitment, industrial relations, employee relations and engagement.

Partnering the business, you are well versed in the local labour legislation and have strong interpersonal skills in providing HR advice to the operations and co-workers' performance management and handle employees' grievances.

Understanding the business priorities, you are able to proactively handle internal as well as external factors when planning and implementing long-term priorities.

A team player, you enjoy sharing of knowledge and building good working relationships at all levels.

Leading by example, you have a passion for the home furnishing business and will be able to show commitment to develop the IKEA business by being a change agent and focusing on developing the people.
