Business Development Manager — Korea

Responsibilities- Develop sales opportunities in various industry segments across Korea for the Materialise software suite by identifying and pursuing new business (end users and those interested in creating 3D printing machines)
- Take responsibility for sales pipeline development objectives and revenue targets
- Define and execute lead generation strategies to reach new potential customers
- Use consultative selling skills to identify customer needs and develop relevant business solutions
- Develop comprehensive sales proposals for projects that include software products as well as associated implementation and advisory services
- Manage complex sales processes involving multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Leverage networks to develop strong working relationships with companies and government organizations to create special projects in additive manufacturing
- This position reports to the Sales Director (APAC) for the Software for Additive Manufacturing business unit
- A degree in business, engineering, or computer science, with at least 10 years of experience in sales and business development in the software industry for the Korean market
- Experience in additive manufacturing (3D printing) is a must
- A strong, enthusiastic "slam dunk" attitude in a world of complex, project-driven sales
- Strong sales empathy skills — the ability to identify with and understand the customer's situation, feelings, and motives
- Excellent negotiation skills to influence customers and prospects
- Proven ability to close deals efficiently
- A commitment to exceeding customer expectations
- Strong analytical skills and a meticulous approach with high attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at different levels, both internally and externally
- Professional demeanor and a self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset
- Strong networking skills and the ability to work autonomously
- Experience working in an additive manufacturing-related vertical industry (e.g., aerospace, automotive, service bureau, etc.)
