Job Title: Manager, Climate Risk Stress Test

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Manager, Climate Risk Stress Test. This is a full-time position based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Risk Management Department in carrying out annual climate risk stress tests (CRST) according to Bank Negara Malaysia's (BNM) CRST 2024 requirements, including communication of results to stakeholders and implementation of recommendations.
  • Assess material climate-related risks in the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) over relevant time horizons, develop appropriate risk metrics, and establish risk limits and thresholds for management action.
  • Develop and manage systems and procedures to ensure accurate data usage and production of reliable analyses, adopting efficient models, processes, and technologies where necessary.
  • Ensure thorough checks within processes to minimize inaccuracies and maintain model integrity, adhering to internal model governance and validation policies.
  • Identify potential concerns and share best risk management practices with stakeholders.
  • BUILD AND MAINTAIN RELATIONSHIPS WITH INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL STAKEHOLDERS, SERVING AS THE PRIMARY POINT OF CONTACT FOR RELEVANT DEPARTMENTS AND BUSINESS FUNCTIONS.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends on BNM's Capital Market Services Act (CMSA) and CRMSA PD to better safeguard the Company.
Other Tasks:
  • Ensure compliance with Company and Regulator policies and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as required by Management.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in risk management or sustainability-focused roles, preferably in banking or financial services.
  • Strong understanding of sustainability principles, frameworks, and regulations (e.g., ESG, TCFD, SASB).
  • Proficiency in risk analysis, modeling, and quantification techniques.
  • Experience with Actuarial Modelling using Prophet Professional.
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
  • Tertiary qualification in finance, risk management, or sustainability.
  • Ideal candidate has minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Actuarial positions.
