Project Manager - Process Enhancement & Credit Risk Control

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Project Manager to oversee and drive process enhancement initiatives within the Finance division while also assessing and improving credit risk control frameworks. This role combines project management skills with a deep understanding of asset management operations and risk management practices, specifically focusing on identifying opportunities for process optimization and evaluating credit risk controls.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Process Enhancement:

  • Lead and manage cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing asset management processes, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and quality standards.
  • Identify, analyze, and document existing business processes, and propose improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand current processes and determine areas for automation, streamlining, and process reengineering.
  • Develop and implement process improvement strategies, ensuring successful integration into daily operations.
  • Monitor project performance, report progress, and adjust plans as necessary to meet objectives.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of existing credit risk management controls within the asset management framework.
  • Conduct regular assessments of credit risk exposure across the portfolio and identify potential risks.
  • Collaborate with risk management teams to enhance credit risk assessment models, tools, and methodologies.
  • Implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize credit exposure, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Provide recommendations for strengthening internal controls and improving credit risk management practices.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Reporting:

  • Work closely with senior management, investment teams, and business units to drive continuous process improvements.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on project status, process improvements, and credit risk assessments to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and facilitate regular meetings with key stakeholders to review progress, risks, and opportunities.

Training & Knowledge Sharing:

  • Provide training and guidance to team members on best practices in process management and credit risk control.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team, sharing knowledge and insights gained from project initiatives.

Regulatory Compliance & Best Practices:

  • Ensure all process improvements and credit risk management practices comply with relevant regulatory frameworks and industry best practices.
  • Stay updated with emerging trends and innovations in asset management and credit risk management, and incorporate these into project deliverables.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 5-10 years of experience in asset management, credit risk management, or project management, with a proven track record of process improvement and risk control assessment.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations, credit risk frameworks, and asset management operations.
  • Added advantages for those with audit experience.

  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, execute, and manage complex initiatives.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong understanding of credit risk management, financial instruments, and portfolio management.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
