Role Description

  • Greet and assist patients and visitors, ensuring a warm and welcoming hospital experience.
  • Guide patients through hospital navigation, directing them to relevant departments such as clinics, wards, and diagnostic areas.
  • Provide accurate and clear information about hospital services, operating hours, visiting guidelines, and general policies.
  • Operate and manage buggy services to support the transport of patients and visitors within the hospital premises.
  • Provide wheelchair assistance and help patients with mobility needs move safely and comfortably.
  • Navigate patients to their designated locations, ensuring timely and secure arrival.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as guiding patients with paperwork or referring them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support patients in downloading and using theKPJ Cares App, helping them access digital features and services.
  • Educate patients and visitors on hospital packages, promotions, or services when required.
  • Help manage visitor access and ensure compliance with hospital safety and visitation protocols.
  • Offer prompt support and direction to patients and visitors during emergencies or unexpected situations.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or Advertising.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in public relations, ideally across various industries including corporate sectors or NGOs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Malay. Proficiency in other languages is an added advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal, persuasion, and negotiation skills for effective engagement with patients, visitors, and stakeholders.
  • Practical experience in event coordination and on-ground execution.
  • Familiar with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools and basic brand management principles.
  • Displays empathy and compassion in patient interactions, especially in a healthcare environment.
  • Quick-thinking and effective problem-solving abilities to address and resolve patient concerns efficiently.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to communicate accurate information and provide responsive assistance.
  • Physically fit to perform tasks such as walking, standing, and assisting patients with mobility, including wheelchair support.
  • A team player who can work collaboratively with healthcare staff and other departments.
  • Willing to work on rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
