German Dutch ORYX STAINLESS GROUP is a global leader in the production of stainless steel scrap blends. From our production facilities in Europe and Asia, we supply the biggest smelters worldwide for their stainless steel production. After the huge success of our Thai operation, our second Asian yard in Johor, Pasir Gudang, Tanjung Langsat has just commenced operations.

As a small team, we move huge volumes. Everybody is an expert in their specific role and at the same time helps each other to moving, literally, mountains of metal. There are a thousand other things required to keep it going. As the PURCHASING & ADMIN EXECUTIVE, your main responsibility is to keep everything humming, source for new and better products, vendors and service providers, improve terms, and maintain stock levels to ensure our production never stops. You enjoy juggling many plates, taking on various responsibilities, working independently but totally connected. As our Swiss Army Knife, you work on:

  • Purchase everything that keeps industrial operations going: products, consumables, spare parts, and maintenance.
  • Research, select and maintain close relationships with service providers (technical & commercial) for maintenance, insurance, travel, and more.
  • HR administration: It would be great if you have some HR admin experience such as attendance, leave & holiday recording, SOCO & insurances, HSE, training, etc.

In addition, you could also get involved in (if you're familiar, great; otherwise, we train you):

  • Run the office: With initially 30 staff, the team is small. Look after them in every aspect. We care for our team, from comfortable safety gear to good food and health.
  • Dealing with government: Safety, customs, tax, environment, etc. help our managers deal with government at every level (Bandaraya MBPG, Johor State, Federal).
  • The same applies to staying on top of all licensing: immigration, certification, accreditation, inspection in Malaysia, and in the many countries we do business with.
