DOO you have what it takes?

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in data analysis, with excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to derive actionable insights from complex data. You would be proficient in database management, data modeling, and reporting, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. If you're a proactive, detail-oriented individual with a passion for using data to drive business decisions, we'd love to hear from you

What you'll be working on:

  • Develop and execute database queries for data extractions.
  • Collaborate with data operations specialists, data engineers, and BI analysts to propose data schema and optimize data flow for reporting performance and enhancements as needed.
  • Analyze large datasets to uncover key business insights and opportunities.
  • Design and develop custom data models, dashboards, and reports to provide actionable insights.
  • Share insights and recommendations with stakeholders to support key business decisions.
  • Stay current with statistical techniques and emerging data analysis trends.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and department heads.

What we're looking for:

Background:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
  • At least 2-3 years of relevant working experience in data analysis.

Must Have:

  • Strong knowledge of databases (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB, etc.).
  • Ability to independently create solutions that provide accurate information quickly to the organization, including building data models and business intelligence components as required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive key insights from complex data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain analytical concepts and share recommendations clearly.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills to effectively work within an immediate team.
  • Exceptional attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of information shared with business users.

Nice to Have:

  • Proficiency in both written and spoken Mandarin to liaise with regional stakeholders.
  • Experience in the Finance & Investment industry.
  • Familiarity with BI technologies such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, etc.
