Position Purpose

Reporting to the Country Finance Lead, the Assistant Finance Manager will partner with the Business Unit Managers and support groups to provide the necessary guidelines, strategies, plans, processes, and controls in the region and divisional brand P&L.

Key Responsibilities

BUDGETING/FORECASTING & VARIANCE ANALYSIS

  • Lead and build the budget with brand managers and business controllers across the region
  • Analyze revenue, profitability by brand/customer/channel/market with quality commentary
  • Provide analytical support to cross-functional initiatives and ad hoc projects and cash flow forecast
  • Systematic variance analysis with quality commentary/business insight to support business objectives

FINANCIAL REPORTING

  • Prepare monthly management reports & review results with JV Finance Director
  • Lead the actualization and analysis of monthly P&L, KPI, present divisional brand P&L and highlights with recommended action plans as required.
  • Liaising with the Shared Service Team to ensure the integrity, accuracy of the accounting records, and compliance with general accounting principles.
  • Balance Sheet Review with the support of Shared Service Finance Team.
  • Timely and accurate submissions for monthly Financial Reporting to Head Office.

BUSINESS PARTNERING

  • Serves as the primary finance business partner and controller to support business operations by partnering with business teams to meet corporate objectives and decision support.
  • Conducts annual pricing analysis and reviews for pillar brands and recommends action to business managers

COMPLIANCE

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and statutory requirements including audit, tax, corporate secretarial preparation/enquiries etc.
  • Manage and liaise with the external auditor to prepare Statutory Financial Statements; liaison with tax agents for entity tax filing.
  • Manage annual inventory stock take, reconcile variances, propose adjustments, and post necessary adjustment to GL after approval.
  • Manage Transfer Pricing with Affiliate per Group policy.
  • Ensure robust process and adequate internal controls are in place.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years post-qualification experience in Finance and Controlling, preferred to have some regional exposure but not required.
  • Chartered Accountant or possessed Accounting and Finance Degree
  • Commercially minded, pragmatic in approach with high attention to detail
  • Creative and innovative attitude, always looking for new ways to improve current activities.
  • Highly organised self-starter with the ability to prioritise. Multi-tasker able to achieve deadlines. A team player able to work with multiple teams.
  • High proficiency in Excel and experience with SAP preferred.
