AVP, IT Change

Ensures the effective management of releases and their interdependencies. Also orchestrates the completion of technology controls related to the releases.

Strategy

1. Change and Release manager to review all the releases and drive the implementations.
2. Assist the PO with Roadmap planning across multiple releases and streams.
3. Develop delivery and release plans with technical dependencies, aligning all partners with support from the team and architect.
4. Negotiate, plan, and manage all portfolio release activities and ensure alignment across key partners and vendors.

Business

1. Own, coordinate and monitor product delivery involving multiple squads and interfaces.
2. Own release planning activities inclusive of creating the change implementation plan, coordinating with vendors and all teams involved for alignment/seeking commitments to the plans, ESDLC process, raising change tickets, running UVT and seeking sign offs for all concerned parties.
3. Orchestrate deployments, issue resolution, and sign-offs in partnership with the IT engineers.
4. Drafting and circulating clear communication plans to keep all stakeholders informed of the upcoming changes, progress and adjustments to the timelines or implementation plans.
5. Supporting business with RFPs.

Key Responsibilities

Processes

1. Review and assess release and path to production processes for improvement opportunities (e.g. simplification or automation).
2. Measure, monitor & publish metrics to establish maturity model of release management function.
3. Responsible for timely delivery of Deployment, Run Books and Implementation Plans.
4. Responsible for Go-Live activities including execution of deployment plans & publish lessons learnt.
5. Establish a process for collating, prioritizing & deployment for all hot fixes & Change Requests via adhoc releases.

People & Talent

1. Be servant leaders to the Squad.
2. Keep constant alignment with the other squad Change and Release managers to anticipate dependencies and help in providing context to manage priorities.
3. Understand if the team's capacity is the correct one for the needed roadmap execution and needed corrective actions with the Tech Lead & Chapter Lead to have the optimal resources.
4. Remove blockers and help identifying potential improvements to build a high performing team.
5. Participate in the preparation of production outputs and their planning.

Risk Management

Ensure effective risk management with regards to releases.

Governance

1. Comply with all governance activities which are pre-requisite for go live. Provide relevant information and seek approvals from Architecture and governance forums.
2. Ensure releases adhere to Change Delivery Standards, ITSM and ESDLC.
3. Own and address tech compliance (ESDLC) requirements throughout the delivery lifecycle (design reviews, security reviews, SAT, OAT, etc.) with support from PO/Chief PO/Hive Tech Lead.
4. Ensure all release artefacts and assurance deliverables are as per the required standards and policies.
5. Govern hygiene of releases & manage relevant communication of release schedules.

Our Ideal Candidates Should Have:

• Minimum 5+ years of professional experience as Change & Release Manager, Project Manager or Scrum Master.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience or exposure working with CRES related technologies such as asset management, safety and security, or workplace services.
• Experience of having worked in transformation of underlying technology landscapes in medium sized portfolio.
• Release Management experience including release planning activities and co-ordination with vendors and all teams involved.
• Change Management experience including change implementation plan, raising change tickets, approvals, and closure.
• Knowledge of product lifecycle and experience in delivering high quality programmes adopting agile methodologies.
• Good understanding and practical experience working as a member of a squad and participating in agile events such as Standups, Sprint Planning, Retro, Showcase/Demo & Backlog Refinement.
• Degree (or similar) in IT related field is preferred.
• Expert knowledge of control processes and methodologies used in a project and BAU environment.
• Adherence and commitment to milestones in a time-sensitive, dynamic environment.
• Self-driven personality who assumes full ownership of his or her work and gets the work done across the organization using agile principles.
• Ability to drive progress under uncertainty and frequently changing requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication including vendor, stakeholder, release, change and implementation plans (English language).
• Ability to be strategic at the same time have strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• EDUCATION: Bachelors/Masters or equivalent in IT.
• CERTIFICATIONS: PMP, Agile, CSM/Scrum, ITIL.
