Support the Head and other Legal Counsel in the Department on matters handled by the department and on policies and procedures rolled out by the Department for the Maybank Group, providing internal legal training for various business streams, Regions, and Branches.

Ensure good and consistent quality advisory services are given, handling and closely monitoring the progress of ongoing litigation cases and issuing case and legal updates in light of new developments in the Law.

Requirement:

  • A qualified lawyer licensed to practice in Malaysia with a minimum of five (5) years post-qualifying experience (PQE) in the banking and finance industry, including legal practice preferably in this area;
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia;
  • Familiar with documentation vetting and the provision of legal advice.
