More about the role
- Responsible for supplier evaluation and management within the assigned scope during new product development and launch (NPDL) phase.
- Responsible for execution of the commodity strategy, execution of supply base strategy and supplier strategy.
- Responsible for gathering relevant benchmark data, supply market intelligence.
- Responsible for supplier scouting, selection in NPDL phase.
- Lead tender generation and review process for the assigned scope in the NPDL phase.
- Ensure that all Supplier related risks are controlled and mitigated.
- Responsible for reviewing the compliance of the suppliers in the assigned scope regarding the Supplier quality, Supplier Sustainability and Supplier Development KPI's.
- Responsible for Supplier Account Management role for the assigned scope.
- Responsible for leveraging supply market know-how and innovation into Signify.
- Develop and maintain appropriate network inside and outside Signify to ensure successful execution of strategies.
- Drive synergies/improvement for assigned portfolio.
- Support procurement excellence within the assigned scope.
- Responsible for mid- and long-term price forecast for assigned suppliers.
- Lead negotiations for NPDL related supply.
More about you
- BS/MS degree in a relevant discipline.
- At least 8 years of relevant working experience; 5 years in supplier account manager role is preferred.
- Recognized as a leader in strategic buying and supply chain processes, serving as a resource to others.
- Brings technical and/or market knowledge from external sources and incorporates those ideas into procurement.
- Able to balance the needs of multiple customers.
- Evaluates the applicability of new systems, new products, market developments.
- Leads the development of effective networks of internal customers and suppliers.
- Requires in-depth knowledge of the procurement area, commodity strategies, company goals, and objectives.
