About the role

These roles are based on anticipated future projects in Low-Code Microsoft Power Platform Development. Hiring offers to shortlisted candidates are expected in early Q2 2025, subject to project confirmation.

We are expanding our Malaysian Delivery Centre with a new Power Platform capability and are hiring for a range of roles to support this growth. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the establishment of a new regional expertise.

This role involves close collaboration with clients based in the UK and requires working from 5pm to 2am Malaysia time. These hours will be compensated with additional allowances, and the position is primarily remote, allowing team members to work from home.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Microsoft Power Platform Engineer to design, develop, and maintain business applications and automation solutions using Microsoft Power Platform. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse, with the ability to integrate these solutions with various data sources and enterprise systems.

Sample Responsibilities:

  • Develop, customise, and optimise Power Apps (Canvas and Model-driven) applications based on business needs.
  • Automate workflows and business processes using Power Automate.
  • Design and implement Power BI reports and dashboards for data visualisation and business intelligence.
  • Utilise Dataverse, SharePoint, SQL Server, and other data sources for app development.
  • Ensure security, scalability, and performance in Power Platform solutions.
  • Integrate Power Platform solutions with Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, and third-party applications.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing Power Platform applications.
  • Stay up to date with Microsoft Power Platform updates and best practices.
  • Work collaboratively with business analysts, stakeholders, and IT teams to understand and implement requirements.
  • Provide documentation, training, and support for end users and administrators.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Dynamics 365, and Azure.
  • Experience in integrating Power Platform solutions with REST APIs, JSON, and Microsoft Graph.
  • Understanding of security roles, data governance, and compliance within Power Platform.
  • Hands-on experience with Power Fx, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for application customisation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in managing and monitoring solutions through the Power Platform Admin Centre, including environment management, analytics, security, and compliance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate (PL-400) or similar certification.
  • Experience with AI Builder and Power Virtual Agents.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for Power Platform solutions.
  • Understanding of Agile development methodologies.

  • You will be working a 5pm – 2am shift pattern to allow for overlap with the client time zone. You will have additional allowances for working these hours.
  • Work-life balance is important; you'll get 18 days annual leave a year (increases to 21 after 5 years' service).

Since this team operates on UK business hours, remote work will be the primary mode of operation. However, 24/7 office access is available for those who prefer an in-office environment.
