We are Malaysia's leading Credit Reporting Agency (CRA) and we are aggressively expanding our business, looking for dynamic, driven, and motivated individuals to join our team. Our Direct-To-Consumer segment (D2C) is one of our fastest-growing product areas in the market, with an abundance of expansion plans and innovative ideas on hand.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the key data initiatives that contribute to the overall Data Analytics Product roadmap and strategy for the business.
  • Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis experience on the use of different industry datasets for business use case development and solutions.
  • Undertake periodic benchmarking exercises to ensure data quality on the analytical data platform is within expectation.
  • Be resourceful in researching for new data sources to expand the existing data analytics products.
  • Create or amend existing web crawling programs using Python to obtain new data sources.
  • Perform necessary quality control checking prior to delivering data to clients.
  • Model Development experience using Data Analytics tools and interpretation on Hadoop/Hive/Spark/Python/SAS/R Studio.

  • Modelling experience on FSI Consumer and SME Data.
  • Modelling experience on Consumer Finance Data.
  • Modelling experience on Telco Behavioral Data.
  • Model Validation experience and Portfolio Reporting.
  • Modelling experience on Fraud Data.
  • Modelling experience on Alternative Data.
  • Bureau and Machine Learning Models.
  • Create input for IT to extract data from CCRIS and CTOS and alternative data sources.
  • Merge the input string and output string from IT.
  • Create subsets to calculate score statistics on score level.
  • Generate score bands; create 5 or 10 bands automatically on Bureau and Client score.
  • Understand regulatory requirements i.e. (Basel or IFRS9) and use Bureau Data.
  • Support project for Consumer/SME scorecard development and post development.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of supporting data processes.
  • Undertake analysis work for specific projects as required.
  • Assist in project research analysis on credit bureau operations / credit rating / credit analysis.
  • Responsible for project delivery beginning from understanding client's requirements, designing an analytical solution for the problem, coordinating the project delivery with the product team, and presentation of results to the client.
  • Any ad-hoc tasks assigned by HOD.

Requirements:

  • Degree/MBA qualified in at least one of the following: Statistics, Econometrics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Data Science, or related fields.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Possess creativity and analytical thinking.
  • A team player with a demonstrated ability to problem-solve with effective solutions.
  • Credit Risk Modelling and Validation experience.
  • Credit Portfolio Reporting experience (desirable).
  • Banking and Telco Domain experience (desirable).
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in a data analysis / risk analysis / scorecard/model developing environments.
  • Possess data analytical skills, preferably in credit data.
  • Skills in MS Office applications, in particular Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills with a meticulous and accountable approach to work.
  • Ability to multi-task, work proactively, and thrive in a small team environment.
  • Ability to perform well to achieve task objectives under pressure of tight timelines.
  • Good oral and written English / Bahasa Malaysia (Optional).
  • Possess excellent listening, rationalization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in data analytics programming tools, i.e. SAS, R, Python Scripting, Spark Scripting, Hive Knowledge.
  • Experience in database tools, i.e. SQL, Hadoop, or any RDMS.
  • Experience in BI Reporting tools, i.e. Pentaho, Tableau, Cognos.
