We are looking for a professional and passionate Project Manager to be part of our high-performing team by leading various projects at VAT, including new product development, engineering customization product, and product transfer projects. You will manage multiple projects through VAT's standard processes and be responsible for project milestones (end-to-end). Additionally, you will lead international and local project teams and engage with the project's stakeholders across the VAT organization.

The ideal project manager possesses a strong ability to lead and work within diverse cross-functional teams, utilizing deep knowledge in project management (best practices, tools, and techniques), along with strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills to secure the project's KPIs.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • You will be assigned to New Product Development, Customization Product, or Product Transfer Project (mainly from HQ to Malaysia plant).
  • Lead projects through VAT's standard process and project milestones (Ideation, Concept, Design, Prototype, Verification, Industrialize, Commercialize).
  • Collaborate closely with various disciplines such as Product Manager, Product Designer, Buyer Specialist, Product Quality Engineer, New Product Introduction Engineer, Lab Engineer, and others.
  • Acquire project resources (team members) from various departments to form a project team.
  • Take a leadership role and navigate the project team towards project goals.
  • Develop project management plans, execute them in a timely manner, monitor project progress, and actively address project risks, issues, or anything that could negatively impact a project.
  • Be responsible for project KPIs (scope, schedule, project cost, and product cost).
  • Ensure all defined project deliverables are met.
  • Attend VAT Innovation Project Reviews for status reports, change requests, or project milestone approvals.
  • Provide project status reports to superiors, management, and key stakeholders in a timely and clear manner.
  • Ensure communication and engagement with project key stakeholders are always at the optimum level.
  • Utilize project management software for project needs, efficiency, and report generation.
  • Proactively contribute to and support continuous improvement activities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline.
  • 5 years of working experience as a Program/Project Manager, Project Leader, Project Engineer, or Project Coordinator.
  • Experience in New Product Development, New Product Introduction (Manufacturing), or Product Transfer Projects.
  • Experience leading or working as part of cross-functional or international teams.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional Project Management certification such as PMP, PMI-ACP from recognized organizations (such as PMI, IPMA).
  • Hands-on experience with project management software (such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, Dynamic 365, etc.).
  • Knowledgeable in manufacturing processes, vacuum valves, and semiconductor processes/applications.
