Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Enterprise Application Architect to lead the design and implementation of a next-generation Hospital Management System (HMS) for a large hospital chain. This strategic program requires an expert who can swiftly adapt to complex healthcare environments, deliver innovative architectural solutions, and ensure alignment with business and technical requirements.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in healthcare systems, cloud technologies, and scalable solution design. You will play a critical role in defining integration frameworks, leading the design of key system modules, and optimizing the overall architecture for performance, security, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define the end-to-end architecture for the HMS using Angular, .NET, SQL Server, and Azure Cloud.
  • Ensure the architecture supports scalability, performance, security, and compliance with healthcare standards.
  • Lead architectural reviews to ensure technical excellence and alignment with enterprise goals.
  • Design and implement robust integration frameworks to support seamless connectivity with medical devices, third-party systems, and internal modules.
  • Lead the design and development of critical system modules, including patient management, device integration, and audit frameworks.
  • Ensure high performance and seamless interoperability across a distributed hospital environment.
  • Provide hands-on technical direction to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural principles and best practices.
  • Collaborate with domain experts and technical leads to translate clinical and operational requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Architect solutions capable of handling high transaction volumes and ensuring system availability across multiple hospital locations.
  • Optimize system performance for phased rollouts and incremental feature delivery.
  • Ensure the solution adheres to healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, ASTM, and HL7 standards.
  • Implement Azure-native solutions for traffic management, observability, and security as per program requirements.
  • Work closely with the Delivery Head, client leadership, and cross-functional teams to align architectural decisions with business goals.
  • Present architectural updates, risk assessments, and recommendations to key stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience designing enterprise-grade solutions using Angular, .NET, SQL Server, and Azure Cloud.
  • Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, cloud-native solutions, and integration patterns.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Service Mesh, Azure API Management, and Azure Service Bus.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare standards, such as HL7, ASTM, and HIPAA.
  • Prior experience designing or implementing systems for hospital workflows or medical device integration.
  • Proficiency in setting up CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
  • Strong knowledge of observability, logging, and monitoring tools in Azure to ensure system reliability.
  • Demonstrated ability to master complex domains and adapt quickly to fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while managing competing priorities.
  • Exceptional ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of mentoring development teams and driving architectural decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification as an Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent.
  • Experience with Hospital Management Systems (HMS), Electronic Medical Records (EMR), or Electronic Health Records (EHR).
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevOps practices and tools like Jira and Confluence.
