We are looking for a dynamic, high-performing "Accounts/Finance Manager" with a positive mind-set and commitment.

Responsibilities:
  1. Establishes financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information, and managing accounting staff.
  2. Accomplishes accounting human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, disciplining employees and enforcing policies and procedures.
  3. Achieves accounting operational objectives by contributing accounting information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; and implementing change.
  4. Meets accounting financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, accounts closing, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions in a timely manner.
  5. Confirms financial status by monitoring revenue and expenses; coordinating the collection, consolidation, and evaluation of financial data; and preparing special reports.
  6. Maintains accounting controls by establishing a chart of accounts and defining accounting policies and procedures.
  7. Guides other departments by researching and interpreting accounting policy and applying observations and recommendations to operational issues.
  8. Maintains financial security by establishing internal controls.
  9. Avoids legal challenges by understanding current and proposed legislation, enforcing accounting regulations, and recommending new procedures.
  10. Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  11. Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  12. Consolidation of a group of companies - method works by reporting the subsidiary's balances in a combined statement along with the parent company's balances.
  13. Familiar with trading/rubber industry accounts management (internal financial statement that businesses use to track their production costs, materials used, and inventory levels).
  14. To undertake other ad-hoc assignments as may be required from time to time by the management.
Skills:
  1. Ability to multitask and juggle several responsibilities simultaneously.
  2. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  3. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  4. Knowledge in SQL system will be an added advantage.
  5. Prior working experience in the rubber industry is a plus.
  6. Hands-on experiences and knowledge in import & export documentation, bank documentation (e.g., LC and DP process), custom procedures, indirect taxes (VAT/GST, SST) are an added advantage.
  7. Developing budgets.
  8. Legal compliance.
  9. Tracking budget expenses vs Actual.
  10. SFAS rules.
  11. Coordination.
  12. To lead a team and be well-organized.
  13. Motivating others and being a team player.
