About The Role

Salesforce Developers operate, change and grow software/application that has either been developed, customized or configured to add value to the customer. This is a multi-functional role that works with a Product Team to deliver business value through a high quality product using optimized-flow delivery models based on agile practices such as Scrum and Kanban.

Salesforce Developer will be involved in supporting users, defining new features and functionality and implementing changes under the guidance and servant leadership of the Product Owner, Product Architect and the Product Delivery Lead. Salesforce Developer will work in a highly collaborative, visible and measured environment and will stimulate experimentation, innovation and continuous improvement.

Salesforce Developer will have a deep understanding of Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Salesforce CPQ and how the platform is configured for the business, they will live and breathe the Agile manifesto and will use processes, tools and culture to continuously improve what they do and how they work for the delight of the customer. Adding value everyday will be a key goal.

Salesforce Developer will be able to provide good solutions on system requirements, participate in Solution Design process and run system demo to business stakeholders.

Salesforce developer working in a structured environment using Kanban or Scrum methodologies and will embrace the challenge of solving critical business problems along with supporting SFDC platform day to day activities.

What You will be Doing/Core Duties
  1. Have accountability for developing, configuring & supporting new and existing functionality of our Internal Salesforce Platform including custom objects, custom fields, formulas, workflows, processes & flows, page layouts, validation rules, assignment rules, and analytics.
  2. Manages Salesforce.com administration, including but not limited to: user roles, security, profiles, fields/relationships, workflow rules, processes & flows, page layouts, validation rules, email templates, custom buttons.
  3. Have accountability for solutions designing, developing, configuring & supporting module of a product.
  4. Resolve defects/bugs during QA testing, pre-production, production, and post-release patches.
  5. Ensure all tasks are completed to the required quality standards.
  6. Defines the technical direction of a suite of functional capabilities or modules to the Product Management Team and implement these as part of a self-organizing team.
  7. Trend analysis and monitoring of incidents and problems in order to define, design and implement corrective and preventative solutions.
  8. Influences customers to evolve their business based on technology advancements.
  9. Documents technical business requirements /problems into format that business can understand and works with the Product Owner in the development of Business Cases and Best Practice solutions.
  10. Contribute to protecting the products from technical debt and process debt and designs the system architecture to adapt to future change.
  11. Defines, designs and implements systems integrations working with external projects and programmers.
  12. A deep understanding in process frameworks like ITIL, Prince2 and Agile with experience in executing these in a highly automotive, high velocity output and consistently changing operational environment.
  13. Understands and optimizes the end-to-end system.
  14. Providing coaching and mentoring on Salesforce knowledge for Junior.
  15. Update job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools & techniques.
Minimum Education and Experience
  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. 4+ years of Salesforce hands-on programming experience is a MUST.
  3. At least 5+ years total IT working experience.
Subject Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications
  1. Extensive hands on knowledge, experience of Salesforce declarative programming techniques and administrative features.
  2. Proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and SOQL.
  3. Knowledge of Salesforce security and performance optimization best practices.
  4. Extensive knowledge of Salesforce, Sales Cloud and sales processes.
  5. Experience in Data modelling.
  6. Experience in Release Management.
  7. Familiarity with DevOps tools and process for Salesforce (such as Jenkin).
  8. Experience with version control systems (e.g. GIT).
  9. Good understanding in Service Cloud is good to have.
  10. Knowledge of Integrations, 3rd party integration tools, ETL with Salesforce is good to have.
  11. Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate these into code.
  12. Strong communication and presentation skills.
  13. High numerical reasoning and logic ability with good problem-solving skills.
  14. Proven resilience, calm under pressure.
  15. Proven experience to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment.
  16. Knows how to work in high performance teams and be results-orientated.
  17. Proven self-starter, good listener, highly motivated, and team player.
  18. Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  19. Experience with other platforms such as ServiceNow, JIRA.
  20. HTML or other scripting language.
  21. Salesforce certifications beneficial.
